I've scrubbed through these forums as best I could and have thus far been unable to find anyone who has been able to crack the pre US serial number codes. Mine is a Model 66, 4 inch with a serial number of 40313. It is also stamped Taurus Int Mfg, Miami, FLA. The gun fires great, locks tight and feels almost as solid as my '63 Python. almost
