After several years of Peloton and almost a decade before that of IRL spin classes, I decided to try power zones — if only to mix up my classes a little bit. I did the 20-min FTP test, got a 228 total output and kind of made up my zones based on perceived exertion. I think my zone 3 was around 150 watts and my zone 7 was probably 220 or so ...

Congrats on your improvement. I always recommend the power zone classes for people new to Peloton because the instructors are my favorite. I will say that I loaded up the Peak your Power Zones program as soon as it was released in 8 weeks ago, give or take, but the 4th or 5th week errored out on me.
