Jan 9, 2024. #1. There is a known issue with the Mossberg 940 Tactical, where it oftentimes will not accept the 7 rounds it was built for. Customer brought his gun in, and we looked over some of the online "fixes" for the issue, none of which reliably solved the issue. Most of the time, I could only get 4 shells in the magazine.
