MARCQI Qualifying Cases Overview of MARCQI Qualifying Case Types This section aims to provide supporting information in determining if a joint replacement procedure is a MARCQI qualifying case. The MARCQI qualifying case types for patients age of 18 or older, at the time of surgery, include: Elective primary hip and knee arthroplasty. The Michigan Arthroplasty Registry Collaborative Quality Initiative (MARCQI) was started in 2011 to improve the quality of care for total hip and knee replacement patients in Michigan. It is funded by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Michigan/Blue Care Network as part of their Collaborative Quality Initiative (CQI) program.X. MARCQI data and reports are privileged and confidential and should only be used for quality improvement purposes. MARCQI data is not to be shared with any device manufacturers or the device/pharmaceutical industry.
