The staccato stuff is as good as anything else as far as the quality of the parts. Staccato internals are all wire edm cut from billet and dlc coated. A good gunsmith can do the same stuff with the factory parts that they can with good aftermarket parts. That being said if you like the looks or just want to do it EGW stuff is top notch.Also worth mentioning - the XC has a 9 lb recoil spring in it. I believe the stock spring was 8 lbs. Although I haven't had a single malfunction with it, I did notice the slide hesitating when feeding flat-nosed and HP ammo. The 9lb spring took care of that, but I may film the XC again using the stock spring to see how it affects muzzle dip.One of my carry pieces is the single stack version. Great shooter and light. 8 + 1 is plenty enough for me, if not I have the wilson x9s that accepts 15+1 in a subcompact package that will outshoot the staccato. For me I got a DLC barrel and love it. The less wear isn’t the only benefit. It’s smoother all around which makes a difference with these tight tolerances.
