Tango is . . . 23 months old, weighs 17 pounds, and is 14 inches tall. Tango’s adoption fee is $450. Handsome little Grady was a victim of abuse and neglect during his early puppy-hood. He was picked up when 18 months old by Animal Control from a bad breeder who was later convicted of animal cruelty.

Central Illinois Sheltie Rescue is a 501(c)(3) Non Profit, State Licensed, ALL Volunteer organization that helps homeless or abandoned Shetland Sheepdogs.....also known as "Shelties". We take in any Sheltie that needs us, address all their needs, and then place them in wonderful new homes. We do not have a shelter facility.Size is hard to control and predict even for the best of breeders. Many good breeders who have been breeding Shelties a long time have tried hard to "breed out" the wrong size in their dogs. But even then, there is no guarantee that all puppies will stay "in-size" as adults. Two very "small" parents can and do produce very large shelties.Update on COVID-19 shutdown. So, we thought this would be a very temporary shut down.... But...now that the shut down has been extended another month,...0-2 yrs $475. 3 yrs-8 yrs $450. 9 yrs and older $400. Mixed breeds $375. Our adoption fees help to carry us from one dog to the next as not all rescues come in healthy, nor young. All rescues are fully vetted (treated for heartworms where applicable), placed on heartworm prevention, flea and tick control and microchipped.We wish the same for all our rescued Shelties.
