Honda grom break in period

I've never done a "Proper" break-in according to the Owner's Manual ever. Vary the throttle position, but don't run prolonged WOT (Running Wide Open for hours at a time, usually.) for the first 600 or so miles and then change the engine and transmission oil.

The engine size does not matter too much. When I swaped the engine on my ZX (Longitudal 2.8 I6) I keept it under 3000rpm for the first 10k miles; It is a manual, but this is actually a normal break-in period. You didnt say if you have a manual or auto, but if you have an auto it will be a little harder. Mine (2018 model) doesn't ask for a valve clearance check until 4,000 miles, whereas this one says to inspect at 600 miles.
