Harman pellet stove status light stays on

Harman just came out with a Technical Bulletin concerning them, and I thought Id take this time to communicate it before I forget all the particulars. All Harman pellet units can utilize a setback thermostat. The thermostat must be: 1. Millivolt compatible. 2. Have gold contacts. 3. be low voltage. 4. be low current.

Jan 8, 2013 · Here are the facts: Stove temp - 100% driven the the ESP (temperature probe in stove exhaust flow). Temp dial corresponds to a fixed ESP temperature. For simplicity, let's assume a setting of 3 = 300 degrees ESP temp. The stove will ramp feed up/down to always be as close to 300 degrees as possible. A six blink status may be set if the stove is allowed to run out of pellets. To reset, turn mode selector to “OFF” then back on to the desired mode. If the unit was not out of pellets, see Troubleshooting section of owners manual for more details.Inspect / Repair stove wiring. Verify that when the stove is turned to test mode the feed motor light is lit for 1 minute. Verify voltage/ ground to the motor when the feed motor light is lit. Verify proper amount of pellets in the burn pot. Turn the stove to test to purge pellets into the burn pot if necessary.
